Tanika began her career as a paralegal specialising in environmental law, where she assisted on Habitats Regulations Assessment work for major infrastructure projects and supported matters involving protected species, before expanding into planning law at Town Legal. Her work to date spans a range of planning matters, including supporting on Assets of Community Value cases, planning appeals, biodiversity net gain, public rights of way, and contributing to a range of legal agreements including Section 106 agreements.

Tanika holds an LLB in International and European Law from the University of Groningen, following which she obtained her Graduate Diploma in Law.

She is also a member of UKELA and its Marine Working Group.
